Entering her fifth season as assistant men’s and women’s Swim Coach is Cindy Ikeler.

A former Albright standout in the water, Ikeler was one of the greatest swimmers to arrive in Reading, Pa. A 2002 David B. Eavenson MAC Swimmer of the Year honoree, Ikeler was named the team’s MVP for two consecutive seasons (2001, 2002), and was an NCAA “B” Qualifier every single season she attended Albright (2001-2005).

During her career, Ikeler helped the Lady Lions to three Middle Atlantic Conference Championships (2002, 2003, 2005), and never placed worse than second in any of the conference meets in which she won six individual titles, and 14 relay titles. To date Ikeler still holds the conference record for the 100 backstroke, the 200 medley relay, the 400 medley relay, the 200 free relay, and the 400 free relay.

She also holds many different program and pool records as well, and was named team captain in her senior season. After her 2005 graduation from Albright, in which she earned a degree in Sociology witch a concentration in Criminology and Spanish and graduated Magnum Cum Laude, Ikeler lived in Leon Guanajuato, Mexico for 10 months. Throughout her time in Mexico, Ikeler taught English as a Second Language at the Boston Academy.

Most recently, Ikeler married her long time sweetheart and Albright Swimming Alum Andy Ikeler ‘05. The two currently reside in Chester Springs.
