READING, Pa. – In the 2010 season opener for the Albright College Field Hockey team, the Aggies from Delaware Valley shut out the Lions by a score of 3-0, Wednesday evening in Shirk Stadium.

ANNVILLE, Pa. - Set to begin a new chapter this fall, the Albright Field Hockey team was ranked sixth on the 2010 Commonwealth Conference Preseason Poll, which was released Thursday afternoon. Picked to win the conference championship was national runner-up Messiah College who received 48 points and six of the eight first place votes.

READING, Pa. - Monday morning, Albright Athletic Directors Rick Ferry and Janice Luck announced that Megan Monahan has been named the new Head Field Hockey coach and Director of Athletics Marketing at Albright College. Monahan is scheduled to begin her new position on June 23rd.

Field Hockey Announces 2010 Campaign

READING, Pa. - Looking to give the senior members a final victory the Albright Field Hockey team hosted Alvernia University in their final Commonwealth Conference game of the 2009 season, Tuesday evening at Shirk Stadium. Despite their best efforts, the visiting Crusaders managed to net the games only goal earning the 1-0 conference win over the Lady Lions.

Field Hockey Drops 5-1 Decision to Elizabethtown

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - Now just three goals away from tying the single season scoring record, junior forward Gia Boscola netted her 12th goal of the season against Elizabethtown College (11-5/5-1 Commonwealth). Unfortunately, Boscola’s goal would be the only one in favor of the Lions (6-12/2-4 Commonwealth) as the Blue Jays picked up a 5-1 conference victory Saturday afternoon at Wolf Field.

Field Hockey Wins Overtime Conference Thriller

READING, Pa. - With only 21 seconds remaining in regulation, trailing 1-0 senior Kelly Zepp managed to get one last shot off before time expired to even the score at 1-1. From there it was the duo of Gia Boscola and Caitlin Feldman that did the rest connecting on the game winning goal in the 83rd minute of the match to give Albright (6-11/2-3 Commonwealth) a 2-1 conference win over Arcadia University (4-9/0-4 Commonwealth) Wednesday evening at Shirk Stadium.

READING, Pa. - Even with a Kaitlyn Pietrusewicz goal in the fourth minute of the match, the Albright Field Hockey team (5-11) was unable to hang on as DeSales University (6-9) recorded two unanswered scores to take a 2-1 non-conference win Friday evening at Shirk Stadium.
