CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Paced by a 10th place finish by sophomore runner
George Cook the Men's Cross-Country team placed seventh out of 14 teams at this year's Middle Atlantic Conference Championship Cross-Country meet hosted by DeSales University.
Cook's top-10 time of 28:03.31 led the Lions throughout Saturday's men's 8K race, and also earned him All-Conference honors. Earning the Lion's second best time of the afternoon was senior
Dan Dalton with a time of 29:34.87 which earned him 38th place.
In 54th place was
Eli Frey with a time of 30:34.79, followed by
Bob Kellert with a 73rd place finish and a time of 31:39.77. Crossing the finish line in 81st place was senior
Anthony Carozza with a time of 32:25.85.
Newcomer
Jon Weber closed out the afternoon for the men's team with a time of 33:54.88 and a 99th place finish.
On the women's side
Mallory Ketterer earned the Lady Lions best finish of the 6K race with a time of 29:34.53 and a 74th place finish. Right behind her was
Gabby Stine in 79th place (29:53.32).
Michelle Reinhart earned the red and white's third best time of the day with a 31:47.62 mark and a 100th place finish.
Megan Ford ended the afternoon for Albright with a 124th place and a time of 36:46.36.
Cross-Country returns to action on Saturday, November 14th when they take part in the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional meet. This year's regional meet will be hosted by Muhlenberg College and held on the Goodman Campus at Lehigh University.
