BETHLEHEM, Pa. - In their final meet of the 2009 season, the Albright Cross-Country teams competed at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional’s, which was hosted by Muhlenberg College Saturday afternoon. The men’s team finished in 35th place, while the women’s team recorded a 44th place finish.
Earning the top finish the men’s team was sophomore George Cook who finished in 111th place with a time of 27:28.30. Next to cross the finish line for the red and white was senior Dan Dalton in 170th place with a time of 28:31.80.

Bob Kellert and Eli Frey earned the Lions third and fourth best finishes with times of 29:32.80 and 29:36.10 respectively. Jake Goldberg closed out the top-5 runners for Albright with a final time of 30:14.60.

Closing out the afternoon for the Lions was seniors Anthony Carozza and Chris Bollinger with times of 31:16.90 and 32:59.40 respectively.

For the women’s team Gabby Stine earned the Lady Lions top time of 26:12.90 to earn a 186th place finish. Right behind her was newcomer Kim Hummel who made the transition from the field hockey field to the long course and earned a 211th place finish with a time of 26:44.90.

Posting the Lady Lions third best time was Cheryl Luongo with a time of 28:02.40. After her was Michelle Reinhart in 258th place with a time of 28:48.50. Mary Frederick and Megan Ford ended the afternoon for Albright with times of 31:43.30 and 34:27.40.

With their season at an end the future of Albright Cross-Country looks promising under the guidance of Head Coach Eric Galosi.
