36 Lions Named to MAC Fall Academic Honor Roll
ANNVILLE, Pa. - The Middle Atlantic Conferences Fall Academic Honor Roll, which notes academic excellence by student-athletes, contains 613 honorees as announced by Executive Director Ken Andrews.

The Honor Roll comprises those student-athletes of sophomore class standing or higher who participated in a varsity-level sport and registered a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 (4.00 scale) or higher and completed the playing season in good standing.

Messiah led in total selections with 60, while Widener and King's tied for second with 53 student athletes. Lebanon Valley was fourth with 51 followed by Eastern, Elizabethtown and FDU-Florham tied for fifth with 41. Wilkes was eighth with 37, followed by Albright (36), Manhattanville (35), Misericordia, (35), Lycoming (33), Arcadia (28), DeSales (24), Alvernia (23) and Delaware Valley (23).

Featured on the Fall Honor Roll are several soccer standouts including Commonwealth Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Year, Erin Hench of Messiah, Freedom Conference Player of the Year, Holly Nonis of Manhattanville, Freedom Conference Field Hockey Player of the Year, Bethany Pavlik of Delaware Valley and Freedom Conference Volleyball Player of the Year, Maria Horning from Eastern.

Also on the honor roll is Football Offensive Player of the Year Tanner Kelly of Albright and Men's Cross Country Runner of the Year, Tyler Newhook from Messiah. Student-athletes are selected from field hockey, football, men’s cross country, men's soccer, volleyball, women's cross country, women's soccer and volleyball.
