CENTER VALLEY, PA - Out of a field of 20 teams, the Albright College Men's Cross-Country team placed 11th at the DeSales University Cross-Country Meet Saturday morning.
Leading the Red and White in their final away meet of the regular season was freshman George Cook (Brick, NJ/Brick Township Memorial) who once again recorded a solid finish with a time of 28:38.85 (38th place). Sophomore Robert Kellert (Brick, NJ/Brick Memorial) trailed Cook by less than a minute earning a time of 29:26.86 (67th place).
Spencer Shaak (Reading, PA/Exeter Township Senior) was next in line for the Lions earning the team's third best finish. His time of 29:42.73 earned him a 74th place finish. In 80th place was Eli Frey (Fleetwood, PA/Oley Valley Senior) who crossed the finish line with a time of 30:04.10. Jacob Goldberg (Haddonfield, NJ/Haddonfield Memorial) ended the meet four places behind Frey and had a time of 30:17.28.
With a 144th place and a time of 32:53.43 Anthony Carrozza (Reading, PA/Reading Senior) put forth a valiant effort and battled through the large field. Jay Feitshans (Haddonfield, NJ/Haddonfield Memorial) and Chris Bollinger (Little Silver, NJ/Rumson Fair Haven) closed out the day for the Red and White with times of 34:06.16 and 37:16.03 respectively.
Men's Cross-Country will host their first and only meet of the season next Saturday during homecoming. Start time for the meet is scheduled for 10 a.m.
