ANNVILLE, Pa. - On Monday, senior third baseman Alexandra Keyes (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth) was announced as a First Team All-Conference selection by the Commonwealth Conference Executive Office.
This year’s honor marks the second first team all-conference selection for the senior. In 2007 Keyes was announced as a second team all-conference honoree, and has been named the conference’s player of the week multiple times throughout her time with the red and white.
Keyes closed out her 2009 campaign at Albright as the team’s top offensive producer. Her slugging percentage of .803 not only led the red and white this season, but set a new single season record at Albright as well.
In a total of 25 games played this season, Keys led the team with five home runs and six doubles. The Nazareth, Pa native also produced 32 hits, 24 RBI’s, and 16 runs in 66 at-bats. Her .485 batter average was amongst the top averages in the Commonwealth Conference.
Career wise, Keyes holds the single season (9, ’08) and career (24) home run records at Albright. She also stands as the all-time RBI earner with 103 and her career batting average of .354 ranks her fifth all-time. In her four seasons, Keyes started in 133 of the 135 games she played in.
