Lions Place Sixth at Moravian Fall Invite

DANIELSVILLE, Pa. - After a less than stellar showing in their season opener, the Lions returned to their normal ways placing sixth at the Moravian College Fall Invitational Thursday afternoon at Woodstone Country Club.
With a team score of 328, the Lions closed out the invite tied alongside Keystone College. Franklin and Marshall took both the team and individual championships at this year’s tournament. The Diplomats combined for a score of 307 (+19), while Andrew Woods finished the day with a 73 (+1).
For the Lions, sophomore Erik Thorn recorded a top-20 finish with a final score of 78 (+6). Earning the team’s second best finish was Steve Werst with a score of 82 (t-37th). Brett Cybulski placed t-42nd with an overall score of 83 (+11).
Brody Blessing end the invitation in tied for 53rd place and posted a final score of 85 (+13). Joe Tenuta closed out the afternoon for the red and white with a score of 91 (t-70).
Men’s Golf returns to action on Monday when they take part in the Lebanon Valley College Fall Invitational, which is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m.
