Lion Runners Go the Distance at Dickinson Long-Short Run

CARLISLE, Pa. - At the Dickinson College Long-Short Run the Albright Men's Cross-Country finished in 16th place out of 30 teams, while the Lady Lions recorded their first team score of the season with a 17th place finish out of 29 teams Saturday afternoon.

Taking first place in both the men's and women's meets were the host Red Devils of Dickinson College.

In the 8.1K men's race Bob Kellert earned the red and whites top finish with a time of 29:30.4 (89th place). Right on his heels throughout the long race was Jacob Goldberg who finished just 16 seconds behind his teammate (29:46.20, 96th place).

Junior runner Eli Frey finished the 8.1K part of Saturday's meet in 137th place with a time of 31:07.30. Anthony Carozza finished with a time of 33:51.50, while Jon Weber crossed the finish line with a time of 34:02.90.

Moving into the short 4K race sophomore George Cook finished in 24th place with a time of 13:00.70. After Cook, was senior teammate Dan Dalton with a time of 13:35.60 (60th place). James Guischard (15:35.70) and Chris Bollinger (16:00.70) closed out the afternoon for the Men's Cross-Country team.

Switching over to the women's 6K meet, Gabby Stine paced the Lady Lions with a team best 89th place finish and a time of 27:57.80. About a minute behind Stine was Mallory Ketterer, who finished in 97th place (28:53.90). Senior Megan Ford ended her third 6K race of the season with a time of 34:00.10.

In the 4K women's meet junior Michelle Reinhart led the red and white with a time of 19:47.30 to finish in 145th place. Right behind her was Nicole Kelly with a time of 20:14.1 (149th place). Darline Bui made her first collegiate appearance Saturday afternoon and crossed the finish line with a time of 10:27.6.

Cross-Country will take next Saturday off from competition. They will return to action on Saturday, October 3rd when they host their annual Homecoming Meet at the Berks County Youth Soccer Fields on County Line Rd. in Reading.
