Men's Golf Wins Lebanon Valley Fall Invitational
Tournament Results

ANNVILLE, Pa. - Led by sophomore Erik Thorn, the Albright Men’s Golf team picked up their first tournament victory of the 2009 season at Monday’s Lebanon Valley College Fall Invitational.

Thorn who finished tied for 11th in last week’s Moravian Fall Invitational, recorded a score of 72 to finish even on the day. He ended the first 18 holes of the invite in a three way tie for first place. After a one-hole playoff Delaware Valley’s Mike Kachurak took the individual championship.

Albright as whole recorded a team score of 307, which were two strokes better than the second place Spartans of York College (PA).

Also finishing in the top-5 for the red and white was Brett Cybulski with a 73 putting him just one over par. David Morano earned the team’s third best score with an 80 which put him in a seven way tie for 29th place.

Freshman Brody Blessing ended the afternoon with a score of 82 putting him in 41st place. Drew Reich closed out the afternoon as the Lion’s final golfer. He finished the afternoon 15 over par with a final score of 87.

Men’s Golf returns to action on Thursday when they host Lebanon Valley College and Messiah College in a tri-match at the Berkshire Country Club. Start time for the tri-match is scheduled for 2 p.m.
