READING, Pa. - It was another impressive showing by the Albright Volleyball (7-9) team as they defeated the University of Scranton (5-9) by the final score 3-0 Monday evening in the Bollman Center.
Albright who had to battle back from a 10 point deficit in game two, showcased some sensational team and individual play Monday night. To start the night off, the Lady Lions downed the Royals 25-22. In game two, the red and white not only came back from a 10 point deficit but managed to pull out a 26-24 win in the process as well. The third and final game was a quick for the Lady Lions as they just cruised past Scranton 25-16.

Danielle Ozment# was one of the many Albright players that shined Monday night, scoring 11 kills and four service aces. On 23 attempts, Ozment was charged with just five attack errors, and was also responsible for 11 of the Lions 32 digs. Six-foot middle #
Laura van Bendegem# showcased her height against the Royals scoring eight kills of her own. Defensive, van Bendegem also tallied two solo blocks and one block assist.
Setter #
Lauren Higgins# paced the red and white's attack with 29 assists. #
Cassie Campbell# was also an offensive threat against the Royals scoring eight kills of her own. Freshman #
Alyssa Hoogendoorn# has shown amazing progress of the last couple of weeks. Against Scranton the she scored six kills and had two aces as well.
Volleyball returns to action on Wednesday when they host Lebanon Valley College at 7 p.m. in the Bollman Center in a Commonwealth Conference match.
