ANNVILLE, Pa. - It was a solid afternoon for the Albright throwers as Anthony Pellegrino led the Lions with a first and second place finish at the Lebanon Valley College Invitational.
On the day the Lion throwers recorded four of the top-5 finishes in the shot put event, and three of the top-5 finishes in the weight throw.
Pellegrino’s first place throw came in the weight with a toss of 43-08.00 feet, while his throw of 43-06.00 feet in the shot put earned him second place. Finishing in third place in the shot put (42-03.50 ft) and fourth in the weight (36-04.25 ft) was
Dane Canonico.
Andrew Hettinger took fifth in the shot and third in the weight with throws of 39-01.25 feet and 37-05.25 feet respectively.
Jordan Gilbert closed out the shot put event in fourth place with a throw of 41-08.75 feet, while
Robert Baldwin placed seventh in the shot put (36-00.75 ft) and 6th in the weight (34-07.50 ft).
Track and Field returns to action next Saturday when they take part in the Frank Colden Invitational at Ursinus College. Start time is scheduled for 9 a.m.
