Shaeffer Earns Weekly Conference Honor

ANNVILLE, Pa. - For the second time this season, junior guard Zac Shaeffer has been named the Commonwealth Conference Men's Basketball Player of the week, which was announced by the conference office Monday morning.

Shaeffer who recorded one of the greatest performances in recent member last Tuesday averaged 32 points per game in the 1-1 week for Albright. Against Alvernia in the 111-110 double-overtime win, Shaeffer scored a career-best 44 points. He then added 20 more points in the loss to the Falcons on Saturday.

From the field Shaeffer shot 64.3% (18-28), 50.0% from three-point range (7-14), and 91.3% from the free throw line (21-23). He also added six rebounds, five assists, and two steals to his standout week as well.

Currently the conference and team leader in scoring, the Lampeter native is averaging a career-best 18.1 points per game going into the Commonwealth tournament. His 65 three-pointers made is a conference and team best as well, and his free-throw percentage of 83.6% ranks him third in the Commonwealth.
