Men's Golf Places 8th at Ursinus Invite

ELVERSON, Pa. – In their second tournament of the week, the Albright Men's Golf team placed 8th overall at the Ursinus College Invitational with a team score 337 (+57) Tuesday afternoon at Stonewall Golf Club.

Led by tournament champ Andrew Woods, the Diplomats of Franklin and Marshall College won Tuesday's tournament with a score of 301 (+21). Woods closed out the day with a score of 72 (+2).

Steve Werst posted the Lions best score of the day with an 82 to finish tied for 27th place. After him was Jay Angstadt who finished in 32nd place with a score of 84. Bringing home the Lions third best finish at the Ursinus Invite was Joe Tenuta with a final score of 85.

Finishing just one stroke behind his teammate was David Morano with an 86 putting him in 42nd place. Closing out the tournament with an 87 was Brody Blessing who finished tied for 43rd.

Men's Golf returns to action on Thursday when they compete at the Immaculata University Invitational. Start time is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
