GRANTHAM, Pa. - On a very windy Saturday afternoon, the Albright Men’s Tennis (0-6/0-4 CC) traveled to Messiah College (5-10/2-2 CC) to take on the Falcons in a Commonwealth Conference match. The host Falcons were dominant throughout and took a 9-0 victory.

Messiah made quick work of Albright in doubles competition taking three 8-0 decisions to jump out to a 3-0 lead. From there, Kenneth Ip fell to Jansen Hein 6-1, 6-1 at first singles.

The Falcons would then take back-to-back 6-0, 6-0 wins at second and third singles. Mike Callahan gave a valiant effort at fourth singles, dropping a tough 6-4 decision in his first set with Kyle Keen. In their second set, Callahan was shutout by his Messiah opponent 6-0.

The final two matches of the afternoon ended with a Messiah 6-1, 6-1 win and a 6-0, 6-0 victory.

Men’s Tennis returns to action on Tuesday when they host DeSales University at 4 p.m. in a non-conference match.
