ANNVILLE, Pa. – After completing his first season with the Men's Tennis program, freshman
Kenneth Ip was named a Second Team All-Commonwealth Conference as announced Friday afternoon by the executive office.
Ip who is from Hong Kong, had a standout freshman campaign. At the number one singles spot, Ip closed out the year with a 5-5 record and 1-3 mark in the Commonwealth Conference. When paired up in doubles competition the 2010 team MVP recorded a pair of victories one with
Lee Fura and the other with
Mike Callahan.
In his first conference tournament showing, Ip played an extremely close match at the number one singles spot. Unfortunately, his opponent managed to slip by, while in doubles competition Ip had another solid showing, but was unable to help the red and white to the second round of the tournament.
Despite only winning one match as a team in 2010, the Lions will welcome back all six members for the 2011 season.
