Results

The Albright College women's cross country team opened its 2011 campaign with its home invitational on Saturday, placing third out of five teams.

Senior Kim Hummel led the Lions with a seventh place finish (in 27:44), followed by 15th-placed Shanna Hawkins in 29:47.

Sophomore Sami Haynes was 22nd in 31:58 while junior Mary Frederick (25th) was next, in 32:46. Mackenzie Miller (39th, 36:27) and Lauren Centafont (44th, 45:35) rounding out Albright's group.

Catholic's Camelia Mayfield won the 6K race in 25:07. Her Cardinals squad finished second to Bryn Mawr, who grabbed five of the top 10 individual places.

Albright will be back in action next weekend at Misericordia University's Cougar Classic.
