The Albright College women's cross country team competed at the Misericordia University Cougar Classic on Saturday, placing eighth of 10 teams.

Kim Hummel led the way with a 10th place finish, completing the 6K course in 27:03.59. Shanna Hawkins was 33rd overall, in 29:32.96.

Also scoring for Albright were Sami Haynes (38th, 30:11.660, Lauren Centafont (50th, 32:03.28) and Mary Frederick (54th, 33:41.82).

The Lions will compete next weekend at Messiah.
