The Albright College men's golf team shot a season-worst 331 at the Alvernia Spring Invitational, but still placed 5th of 11 teams (and second of seven MAC teams).
The host Crusaders won the tournament with a team score of 319. Muhlenberg's
Chris McCann won individual honors, shooting a 75.
Senior
Erik Thorn turned in the Lions' best score of the day, with an 80.
Sal Capelli shot 82,
Payne Baust was a stroke behind that, and
Brody Blessing came in with an 86.
The Lions will compete at Immaculata on Monday and at Messiah on Tuesday- their final tuneups before the 2012 Commonwealth Conference championships.
