Albright College sophomore Victoria Foanio has been named the Commonwealth Conference Player of the Week after going 7-0 for the women's tennis squad.

Foanio participated in two major milestones this week. She combined with freshman Alyssa Sell to set a new school single-season record of 14 doubles victories.

Foanio also scored two important points as the Lions edged Messiah 5-4 and qualified for the Commonwealth Conference playoffs for the first time. After a winless season in 2010-11, Foanio has led Albright to a 10-9 mark heading into a semifinal at Lebanon Valley College.

This was the third weekly conference honor of the spring for Foanio.
