The Middle Atlantic Conference has announced the 2012 women's tennis All-Commonwealth Conference teams. Albright sophomore
Victoria Foanio was named the Player of the Year, while freshman
Alyssa Sell earned second team All-Conference honors.
Foanio, a sophomore, wins her second consecutive Commonwealth Player of the Year award. She finished with a 21-3 mark in singles play (8-0 against Commonwealth opponents), and won the MAC Individual championship in the top spot.
Foanio was also 18-7 at first doubles, teaming with freshman
Alyssa Sell to win the MAC championship at first doubles. They also set a new school single-season record with 14 combined victories.
Sell went 12-5 in singles play, including a 10-4 mark in the second singles spot.
Foanio and Sell helped Albright qualify for its first-ever Commonwealth Conference playoff appearance, with each going 5-1 over the Lions' three conference victories this spring.
Lebanon Valley's
Amelia Capuano won Rookie of the Year and
Matt Helsel from Elizabethtown earned Coach of the Year.
