ANNVILE, Pa. - Led by first team selection
Daniel Sobolewski, Albright had 11 players named to the All-Middle Atlantic Conference football team as voted upon by the leagues head coaches and announced by the conference office on Wednesday.
Sobolewski was the lone Albright player to receive First Team All-MAC honors after putting together a brilliant junior season. Sobolewski is 15-21 on his field goal attempts this season and ranks third in the nation averaging 1.50 field goals per game. He broke his own school record when he converted a 52-yarder against King's and then tied the mark two weeks later against Misericordia. He also tied the Albright single-game record when he was successful on five field goals in the victory against Wilkes.
Sobolewski was also named the second team punter after averaging 36.9 yards per punt during the regular season and placing 13 punts inside the opponent 20-yard line. He was twice named the MAC Special Teams Player of the Week.
Albright had seven players receive Second Team All-MAC honors.

O'Brien, who is one of the four Albright captains, anchored the offensive line this season. He has started 21 consecutive games and helped lead a rejuvenated Lion offense attack. During the Lions current five-game winning streak, the offense is averaging 30.2 points per game and 346 yards of total offense per contest.
Capetola, who earned second team honors in 2012, led the Lions in both tackles for loss and sacks during the regular season. He was fourth in the conference with 7.0 sacks and ranks 43
rd in the nation averaging 1.7 tackles for loss per game.
Kuhn had an outstanding sophomore season and finished the regular season with 42 tackles and 4.5 sacks. He was second on the team with 15.5 tackles for loss, which ranks him 56
th in the nation averaging 1.6 per game.
Barroso was part of an impressive linebacking trio for the Lions and ranked second on the team with 79 tackles. He was named the MAC Defensive Player of the Week on two occasions and also had 12.0 tackles for loss, 5.0 sacks and two interceptions on the season.
Stephens repeated as a Second Team All-MAC selection after also earning the distinction last season. The senior captain led the Lions with nine pass breakups and finished the regular season with 32 tackles, one interception and a blocked kick.
Gainer, who earned MAC Special Teams Player of the Week honors on Sept. 21, currently ranks fifth in the nation in combined kick returns with 881 yards. He is averaging 27.2 yards per kickoff return and 8.0 on punt returns.

Joe Magosin and
Malik Gilmore were each named Honorable Mention All-MAC.
Hayden teamed with Capetola and Kuhn to form a dominant defensive line. He finished the regular season with 33 tackles, which included 12.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks. He ranks 11
th in the nation in forced fumbles with four and also had two fumble recoveries on the season.
Magosin earned honorable mention honors despite missing the final four games of the regular season. The senior captain led the Lions with three interceptions and was named the Middle Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 7. He finished the season with 42 tackles, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and a blocked kick.
Gilmore, a sophomore wide receiver, currently leads the nation in blocks with four. He blocked three kicks, including a punt which he returned for a touchdown, against FDU-Florham and blocked a potential game-tying field goal against Lebanon Valley with 34 seconds left in regulation.
Widener, the MAC champion, led all schools with 18 selections, while Lycoming had 13 players named. MAC runner up Delaware Valley and Albright each had 11 players named to the all-conference teams.
