Daniel Sobolewski and defensive lineman
Jamal Hayden have each been named to the 2014 USA College Football Division III All-American team as announced on Thursday.
Sobolewski was named First Team All-American, while Hayden was named to the Honorable Mention defensive team.
Sobolewski is ranked ninth in the nation averaging 1.36 field goals per game and his pair of 52-yard field goals is tied for the second-longest kick in NCAA Division III this season.
He tied the Albright school record of five field goals in a game versus Wilkes and he also tied the school record for most points in a game by a kicker with 18 against the Colonels.
Sobolewski was twice named the Middle Atlantic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week and the ECAC Southeast Special Teams Player of the Week. He also was named First Team All-Middle Atlantic Conference and Third Team All-East by D3football.com.
Hayden finished the season with 33 tackles, including 12.5 tackles for loss. He was third on the Lions with 5.5 sacks and also contributed four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
