Ronya Nassar jumped 15-4.25 to place third in the opening meet of the season for the Albright indoor track and field squad at the Bow-Tie Track Classic hosted by Ursinus College.
Nassar earned six points for the Lions on her first jump of the competition, topping her longest jump from a year ago.
"We did a good job today," said head coach
Deneen Ebling said, "We had some people place and we had a good first meet."
Johns Hopkins was the winner of the meet with 137 points, Abright finished 19th in the team standings with six points.
Tamahra Sheard finished the mile run in 6:09.55 to put her in 14th-place.
Freshman
Kamree Alexander was 21
st in the 60-meter hurdles in 11.25 seconds.
Angelica Hull cleared 4-6.0 in high jump to finish in 18
th, Aliyah Hopkins also cleared 4-6.0 but was 23
rd because of misses.
Track and field returns to action on January 15 and 16 at the Kutztown Collegiate Invitational.
