Women's Cross Country Earns All-Academic Team Honors

The Albright College women's cross country team has earned USTFCCCA (U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association) All-Academic honors for the squad's success in the classroom this past year.

The All-Academic Teams included 215 women's teams and 146 men's teams that earned honors for the 2013 season. Programs must have compiled a cumulative GPA or 3.10 or greater and competed in at least five different meets with at least five runners representing their school at each.

In total 220 unique programs were recognized, including 141 programs that had both their women's and men's teams earn the honor.

Seven of the Lions' eight rostered athletes had GPAs over 3.20, led by Rebecca Stickler (3.86), Sami Haynes (3.75) and Perrin Ryal (3.59).

Albright totaled a team GPA of 3.34.
