WINTER HAVEN, Fl. – It was a tough spring trip finale for the Lions (3-7) as they faced off against NJAC opponent Ramapo College (5-3). The Roadrunners used a 10 run fifth inning to hand Albright a 13-1 loss Thursday afternoon.

AUBORNDALE, Fl. – To say the least, the Albright Lions (3-6) had themselves quite the afternoon against the Prairie Fires of Knox College (Ill.). Combined the red and white posted 26 runs, 26 hits, and allowed only four errors in what turned out to be a near 6 ½ hour doubleheader Wednesday afternoon.

AUBURNDALE, Fl. – The Lions hungry for their first win of the 2010 season got it Monday afternoon in game one of a two game series between Albright (1-6) and St. Norbert College (2-2). On the day each team walked away with a win with the Lions taking a 7-5 victory in the opener, while the Green Knights took a 17-7 win in the closer.

LEESBURG, Fl. – It was a tough first day for the Lions on their 2010 spring trip to Florida as they dropped back-to-back games to Anderson University (IN) by the final scores of 4-1 and 15-3 Sunday afternoon.

Baseball Drops Home Opener to Neumann

READING, Pa. - In their 2010 home opener the Lions (0-3) faced off against Neumann University (3-8) in a non-conference contest. The visiting Knights, who scored a pair of runs in the top of the sixth to retake the lead, went on to take a 5-4 win over Albright Wednesday afternoon at Kelchner Field.

No. 3 Kean University Defeats Lions in Non-Conference Action

UNION, NJ - Looking to upset 3rd ranked Kean University (2-1) for a second straight year the Lions (0-2) returned to New Jersey for their second contest of the weekend. Unfortunately this year’s result did not favor the red and white as the Cougars defeated the Lions 13-5 Saturday afternoon at Jim Hynes Stadium.

ANNVILLE, Pa. - Even with good amount of snow still on the ground the 2010 spring season is in full swing as the Albright Baseball team prepares for their newest campaign. A true sign of that was the release of the Commonwealth Conference Coaches Preseason Poll, which ranked the Lions sixth overall, as announced Tuesday morning.

READING, Pa. - The 2010 Baseball season opener scheduled for this Saturday at Wesley College has been postponed. A make-up date has not yet been scheduled. The Lions next contest is scheduled for March 2nd at Penn State Berks, with the first pitch set for 2:30 p.m.

Former Albright Baseball Coach Stan Hyman Dies at Age 50

MACOMB, Ill. - The college baseball world was saddened on September 5 when former Albright College baseball coach Stan Hyman died in the early morning hours. Hyman, who coached at Albright from 1994-98, lost his long battle with cancer at the age of 50.
