ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Sophomore center Derek Hall recorded his first double-double of the season with 16 points and 13 rebounds as the Lions (16-4/7-3 CC) dropped their second straight conference game, falling to the host Blue Jays of Elizabethtown College (14-6/6-4 CC) by the final score of 74-67 in Thompson Gymnasium.

READING, Pa. - Late Wednesday night the NCAA announced the first regional rankings of the 2009-10 season. Taking the number one spot in the Middle-Atlantic region were the Lions.

READING, Pa. - With only five seconds left on the clock and with Albright ahead by one Widener inbounded the ball to Bobby Edmunds who then dribbled the ball through traffic and at the very last second put up the game-winning jumper to push the Pride of Widener University (11-9/4-5 CC) past the first place Lions (16-3/7-2 CC) by the final score of 49-48 Wednesday evening in the Bollman Center.

Men's Basketball Drops Lebanon Valley in OT

READING, Pa. - With only seconds remaining in regulation Lebanon Valley’s Jordan Stewart threw-up the shot of the season tying the game at 60-60 to force the first overtime period of the year in the Bollman Center. However, the magic of that shot did not carry over into the extra period as the first place Lions (15-2/6-1 CC) outscored the Dutchmen (6-10/2-5 CC) 8-3 in the final five minutes to take a 68-63 conference win Saturday afternoon.

Men's Bball Picks Up Another Conference Win

Glenside, PA – Andre Murphy came off the bench and had a perfect night from the field in leading the Lions (14-2/5-1 CC) to an 86-63 victory over the Arcadia University Knights (5-10/0-6 CC). Murphy’s 14 points were a season high for the senior guard, who was four of four from three-point range, and also two of two from the charity stripe on the evening.
