ANNVILLE, Pa. - The Middle Atlantic Conferences Fall Academic Honor Roll, which notes academic excellence by student-athletes, contains 613 honorees as announced by Executive Director Ken Andrews.

ANNVILLE, Pa. - The Middle Atlantic Conference has announced its annual sportsmanship teams for the fall 2009 conference sports. The teams include a player from each conference school who has demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship through their actions on and off the field during the season.

ANNVILLE, Pa. - On Monday, Middle Atlantic Conference executive office announced this year’s All-Conference selections for Men’s Soccer. Finding a place on the second team for the first time in his career was sophomore forward Mark Yost.

Men's Soccer Falls in Season Finale to Widener

READING, Pa. - Looking to be the spoiler and knock the Pride of Widener University (6-8-3/3-3-1 Commonwealth) out of this year’s Commonwealth Conference tournament, the Lions (6-11-2/1-6 Commonwealth) hosted their final regular season match in Shirk Stadium Saturday evening. Unfortunately the red and white were unable to achieve their season ending goal, as the Pride managed a 1-0 conference victory.

Lions Drop Hard Fought Match against No. 2 Messiah

READING, Pa. It was no secret heading into Wednesday night’s Commonwealth Conference that the Albright College Lions (6-10-2/1-5 Commonwealth) had their hands full with the number two ranked team in the country, Messiah College (16-1/6-0 Commonwealth). The Lions responded to that task for at least 85 minutes of the contest, before the Falcons broke away with a pair of late goals to put away the home team 3-0 Wednesday evening at Shirk Stadium.

Warriors Sneak by Men's Soccer

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - In the hunt for their second conference win of the season, the Lions (6-9-2/1-4 Commonwealth) traveled to Lycoming College (11-6-1/5-1 Commonwealth) for a Commonwealth Conference match. After surrendering an early own goal, the host Warriors managed to net a pair of unanswered scores in the second half to take a 2-1 win over the red and white Saturday afternoon.

Lions Down Alvernia 1-0 in Conference Match

READING, Pa. - It was another close match for the Albright Men’s Soccer (6-8-2/1-3 Commonwealth) team as they faced off against Commonwealth Conference newcomer and cross-town rival Alvernia University (4-10/1-4 Commonwealth) Wednesday evening at Schlager Memorial Stadium. With a Mark Yost goal in the 58th minute of the match, the red and white were able to take the conference win from the host Crusaders.

READING, Pa. - In part two of Wednesday’s soccer doubleheader the men’s team had their hands full with a very quick and physical Rutgers-Newark (7-3-3) squad. Combined with some less than stellar officiating, the Lions (5-5-2) could not overcome the odds as Rutgers-Newark handed the red and white a 2-0 non-conference loss at Shirk Stadium.
