READING, Pa. - Led by Katie Cooper and Lauren Panichelle the Lady Lions (1-0) picked up a 2-1 win Thursday afternoon over the Nittany Lions of Penn State Berks (0-1) in their 2010 season opener.

ANNVILLE, Pa. - On Tuesday, the Commonwealth Conference released the 2010 Women's Soccer preseason poll. Picked to finish seventh this fall was Albright College, who earned a total of 13 points. Defending conference and national champs Messiah College was chosen to win the conference having received 49 points and seven first place votes.

READING, Pa. - On Monday, head coach Pat Stanco released his 2010 Women's Soccer schedule. This upcoming season looks to be another challenging one as the red and white will look to make their second straight postseason berth. Albright will kick-off their new campaign on Thursday, September 2nd when they travel to Penn State Berks for a 4 p.m. non-conference match-up.

Women's Soccer Falls to No. 1 Messiah in Conference Tournament

GRANTHAM, Pa. - In their first Commonwealth Conference tournament appearance since 2006, the Lady Lions traveled to Messiah College to face the number one seed Falcons Tuesday evening at Shoemaker Field. A total of seven player accounted for Messiah’s offense as they recorded an 8-0 victory.

READING, Pa. - With 1:12 left in the first overtime period, senior midfielder Amy Hoelscher collected a loose ball in Kean University’s goal box and dropped a short pass to classmate Allie Yoder who then chipped the ball over the Cougar’s goalkeeper to give Albright a 1-0 non-conference win Monday evening at Shirk Stadium.
