CAPE COD, Mass. - Just 24 hours after being announced as a D3Hoops.com Middle Atlantic All-Regional selection, junior guard Zac Shaeffer was named an ECAC DIII South Region Third Team All-Start Wednesday afternoon.

The honor is another first for the conference leading scorer and three point shooter. On the year Shaeffer averaged 18.5 points per game, which earned him the Commonwealth Conference's Player of the Year honor, as well as a First Team All-Conference selection.

In helping the Lions to their ninth trip to the NCAA tournament, Shaeffer averaged 20 points per game in the conference tournament, and scored a career-best 44 points in the double overtime win over Alvernia University in February.

From behind the arc he made 72 three's and at the line he shot an impressive 83.6% (117-140). When not shooting the ball, the Lampeter native proved to be a playmaker on both sides of the court ranking second in assists with 67 and steals with 27.

Starter of all 27 games played this season, Shaeffer averaged nearly 30 minutes of playing time per game, in which he shot 44.2% from the field.
