Albright College transfer Adam Vogel has had an immediate impact on the men's swimming program and was recognized as the Middle Atlantic Conference Swimmer of the Week after helping lead the Lions to a pair of victories.
Vogel won back-to-back events, both Albright sweeps, in a 128-61 win over King's on Saturday.
He led
Drew Leahy and
Sam Rosenthal as the Lions took the top three places in the 200 IM, and then recovered to lead
Tim Pierce and
Bobby McNair in a sweep of the 100 fly.
In a Tuesday win over Elizabethtown, Vogel won the 400 IM, in 4:31.36.
Vogel came to Albright after swimming for Messiah during the fall semester. This is the third time a Lion male has won the MAC Swimmer of the Week award this season, following a pair of honors for fellow freshman
Rick Sutton.
