Vitali Zaluha and
Andrew Sussingham each scored a pair of goals leading the Albright College men's soccer team to a 6-0 victory over Penn State Berks on Friday.
Albright scored three goals in each half and outshot the Nittany Lions 17-9 for the match. The Lions had eight shots on goal and converted six goals led by Zaluha and Sussingham.
Sussingham got the Lions on the board at the 14:42 mark of the first period when he drilled a shot into the back left corner on an assist from Zaluha putting Albright ahead 1-0.
Albright extended the lead to 2-0 when Zaluha scored on a direct kick with 22:08 on the clock in the first half.
Diego Mendez pushed the lead to 3-0 when he beat goalie Stephen Speer one-on-one at the 36:02 mark.
Albright took a 4-0 lead on a header from
Austin Phillips after a cross by
Shawn Murphy at the 59:48 mark of the second half.
Sussingham scored his second goal of the match at the 80:27 mark of the second half and Zaluha capped the scoring with his second goal at 86:19.
Austin Aldinger recorded the shutout for Albright as he stopped all four shots he faced.
